Is assembly required?
The size variety is what sold me. The huge one fits a whole head of lettuce with room to spare, the 2 middle ones are good for chopped veggies or leftover pasta, and the tiny one I use for nuts or half an onion (the vent helps with the smell a bit). I’ve frozen a batch of soup in one of them and also microwaved rice in another—no issues. They’re not super fancy, but they stack nicely and feel durable. Would’ve loved volume markings on the side, but that’s just nitpicky.
We were throwing away so much produce before, especially berries and herbs. Since getting this 5-pack, the food honestly stays fresh longer. I like that each container has the little colander insert, so I’m not dirtying extra strainers. The adjustable vents make sense once you get used to them—open a bit for produce, closed for leftovers. Only thing is they take up a bit of room when all five are in use, but they also stack neatly, so it’s a trade-off.
I do Sunday meal prep and these have been awesome. I use the big one for salad greens, next size for chopped veggies, and the smaller ones for snacks and grapes. The clear sides make it easy to see what’s inside so I don’t forget things in the back of the fridge. I also reheated leftovers in the microwave (lid off) and had no issues. I wouldn’t say they’re totally “leakproof” if you throw soup in a backpack, but for the fridge they’re solid.
We switched from glass containers because they were getting chipped and heavy. These are much easier to handle, especially for my kids. The plastic feels thick but still lightweight, and I like that it’s freezer and microwave safe. We’ve frozen soup in one of the medium containers and it didn’t crack, which was my fear. The speckled finish actually looks nicer in person than I expected. Lids are quite snug, so I usually have to go around all four sides to be sure it’s sealed.
I use the smaller ones as berry baskets and it’s so convenient. I rinse the strawberries or blueberries in the inner colander, shake off the water, then drop it back in and close the lid. The vent helps keep them from getting soggy. They really do last longer than when I just kept them in the plastic store box.
